The Update

What kept me busy these past weeks:

I needed to finish tasks in the office because it's deadline season. Glad I could still spend break time!

Eyes on Me

The reason I had my eyes checked by a doctor weeks ago was because of the slight blurred vision I experienced that time. Based from the result, my eyes both have grade but still low so I prefer not wearing eyeglasses.

And now I am experiencing a kuliti! Grrr, I learned you must let that come out but mine is enjoying its stay grrrr again.

Saving Up for Rainy Days

Living independently teaches a lot in our daily life. Since you find ways to support yourself mainly in financial matters, you learn to value every cent.

You'll eventually get accustomed to "Kuya discount naman jan!", "Ay kala ko P20 lang kilo hindi P22... cge na P20 nalang.", "Buy 1 take 1 ba yan?", "Kelan kayo magsasale? Balik nalang ako.", "Alin kaya mas marami sa dalawang 1 kilong bigas na 'to?", "Sa'n kaya nakakakuha ng home access card para sa NFA rice?", "Del Monte or Bonus? BONUS!"

Alright, I need to compute my gross income minus liabilities minus expenses minus tax minus tax minus tax minus VAT to yield my net profit!

Queen Paranoia: Strike 2

After a lot of health threats the world over, nobody wants to be another victim of a communicable disease or virus - this time the swine flu or A(H1N1) if you want to say it in a more witty or technical way.

Actually, I also got paranoid when someone's sneezing, not feeling well, coughing and even people who just look like sad or exhausted.

Good thing the company health insurance will be able to provide us with the flu vaccine!

They said early this month. Faster please! I'm paranoid even when I only have headache for a moment.

A Month to Remember

What happened to Boinkify from concluding part of April to closing part of May 2009?

I spent 1 week vacation in my permanent home (sweet home).

From 10am to 4pm, it was scorching hot. But cheer up! There’s the swimming pool!

Or maybe the sprinkling pool…

Well, perhaps a lying pool?

How about a relaxing pool?

Though movements were limited inside the “swimming pool”, it was refreshing to let some part of our body immersed in the water.

Hours passed by with my sister and cousin sharing never-ending funny stories.

Eventually, all of us got tired.

It also happened to be a family celebration and votes on what to cook for merienda were landslide! My mom cooked the ever favorite foods of my siblings and two cousins. This meant Pasta Day in the house! Very simple but full of laughter and contentment.

If you can’t find me in the kitchen, I was definitely in the bedroom.

Meet Charlie, our family dog with a different breed.

Then back to work again.

Sadly, the illuminati este my close friend from Supah Trio Troop freed himself from skus, manufacturers, written memos, boredom, confusing directives, and “darakness”.

He gave up the job for his “career start”.

Time for love life! Photos can describe the happiness you feel when you are with your lubdub, lub dub, lubduub.

Scheduled Getaway

Long holidays syndrome is noticeable in the office.

The ambiance is even stimulated by more than an hour disconnected internet connection and electricity failure.

Five-day off happens hardly ever and having the chance of spending it is really an odd chance! Last night I started preparing the things-to-bring in my suitcase.

I'm thinking what else should I bring :-?

I Found the Zenith

I never had the complete album collection of U2 but I do like the Irish band.

I only have copies of several tracks from different albums.

When I got U2's No Line on the Horizon album earlier this March, I found time listening to it and OMG I love the tracks.

The songs are so expressive, I can even relate to the mood of every track. Honestly, some make me feel bubbly while the rest are heartrending. Although some are a bit murky, listening to those music still mesmerizes me.

Now I know why the album's set-up is like that. The band initially aimed to release Daylight and Darkness which are two extended plays but later mixed the songs into one album.

While playing:

No Line on the Horizon -- I feel it's nice to wake up in the morning, super early or not. I believe I can do a lot in a day with so much energy.

Magnificent -- The guitar intro makes my head move up and down. I also like the oh woah... oh..... only love.... part.

Moment of Surrender -- Everything is so smooth. It's my most favorite track in the album.

Unknown Caller -- It's like 2-4 in the afternoon. The "... reboot yourself, you're free to go..." lyrics onward is forceful.

I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight -- This line actually makes me say/sing it every time it's playing in my music player.

Get on Your Boots -- I like the lemme (in) the sound, lemme (in) the sound, lemme (in) the sound sound sound. Did I say the lyrics right?

Stand Up Comedy -- Stand up for your love and the rest part of the song will definitely make me sing with Bono in concert. TV concert, that is. Live concert, anyone?

Fez – Being Born -- The first part sounds a bit mysterious and it's like evening to me. It also has the lemme (in) the sound chant. After the intro, it becomes dynamic.

White as Snow -- This song will be in my playlist during my depressing days. It touches me and adds sad emotion if I feel like being EMO for a day.

Breathe -- What else, hmm well, the song is good. Did they use violin here? I like that part with the drum.

Cedars of Lebanon -- It's like I'm on a trip.

Say what?

If everyone just forgive others mistakes and if only this is an easy process. -- Well, too bad this is not me. I can hardly forgive the bad things anyone have done to me. It's like forever saved in mind's avoid-those-peeps list.

The world is like a stage with us being the actors doing our own roles -- To those who play pests to other people's lives, take a look at the image below this.

We all believe in ourselves, getting things we ever wanted, and doing good or bad deeds we wish we could get done -- And I confess I have wish list to the latter. Too good it's all in my mind and no one will discover and literally read that list.

I rock with my own life anyways.

Play

Can let the day pass without watching TV, no cp load or not doing any chore I normally perform in a day. But please, give me music. With those R&B, Pop, Trance, Alternative, Deep dance and mood boosting songs, I can call it a day!

Let there BE BOYS.

If I were an Anime character, I would definitely be Chiharu. I did not manage to watch this show on television or dvd before but I think there's something common between us besides the track and field thingy.

Chiharu's love interest is Kyoichi, which is equivalent to Labsky. My real better half tagged me as Chiharu in the first place anyways hehe.

Me Favorito

There are stuff that get to be obsolete or simply halted their production. As far as I can remember, some of those I wish never closed their production and which I experienced taking or using were:

brand of soap that I'm sparingly using, I only have one last box of it now huhu;
Maggi cup noodles, the noodles that were ready to eat after 3-5 minutes in mug with boiled water;
the original version of Vaseline lotion;
my celphone hahaha;
five peso bill, you seemed to have lots of money when your one hundred peso bill is converted into its equivalent five peso bills;
can I include unlimited rice in some eateries here?

Thank u Lucky Me! The instant sopas is still out in the market. I thought it was halted too. Then I found out that you just changed the design of the package hehe.

I love this instant sopas and I mix evaporated milk to it, yumm, that tastes like real home made sopas.

Aren't We Forgetting Something?

How long can a human memory lasts?

A good memory can make you win a lot of money.

Better memory can make you pass an exam.

Clear memory can save you from harm and accusations.

Excellent memory can make someone happy when you always remember significant occasions in life.

On the contrary, memory can be an aid to do some pretensions.

Just say you forget something or you act as if a scenario never happened. Case or topic will be closed at least right away. Of course, you or anybody else, always being on the safe side.

But how about other people involved in the situation that stick to reality and is clear in their mind? Hey, this is not about the wit or how clever a person is. I know you (whoever you are) can analyze this in a mature way.

This goes to all who cannot speak their side because there is no option to verbalize.

Well, the world is really a stage with us being the actors doing our roles.

Oist Eman, pakikastigo na lang.

Sober

It's been a year since I'm away from my family, hometown, my room, rubber swing, pancit bato, friends, my music cds, spending the late afternoon in my mom's mini garden, watering her almost malnourished plants (whew, we somehow saved them before they totally died/dried), hilarious talks while having a meal cooked by my mother, asking my siblings to do a simple errand and many more.

Is it obvious that I miss relaxing and going home?

Of course, I will never forget you bad times, or say even worse times.

When you are not contented to see that a person is happy, one day you'll make sure you bring in trouble.

Now I personally learned and understand that what you see on television, what other people experienced, what is happening in the world will somehow or someday affect anybody and even me.

And when you are already in that situation, it's up to you how to solve or get away from it. But it's better and the right thing to solve it though it seems hard.

We are experiencing economy crisis in our country and we only do well for a moment. Hard life is in the mainstream. What more if a powerful nation that we are workin at, associated with, income source of your co-workers to support their old parents, allowance for their siblings, niece or other relatives, foundation for a stable employment, the start to build future plans, and so on is not out of harm's way and is now affected in the financial system.

Sometimes, you can hardly give a smile to everything though you know that there is always a reason to feel good.

But don't fail to remember some pieces of advice in life.

Alternatively, not all people that smile at you mean their smile, anyway.

Just pondering... It has really been a long year in my life after all.
